The best podcast about Stephen King

Found these guys right after finishing my first run to the Tower in the thick of Covid. They make my daily commute so much better. Their other stuff is great, too. Doof Media has not forgotten the face of their father.

Terrific

I love listening to these. The Dark Tower books are so special to me, I’ve traveled the path of the beam several times but never really had a friend to discuss it with. I mean, I have friends, they just don’t wanna read 5,000 pages of literature with me LOL. So it’s really awesome to just listen to discussions about my favorite series.
One critique that just drives me crazy is the usage of the word “sure”. It’s beyond excessive, and of course it’s an insignificant gripe… but I do highly discourage anyone to play a drinking game in which you take a drink every time they say it… because you will die.
Other than that, these guys are awesome and intelligent and fun… I really did enjoy it.

A must for Stephen King fans

This podcast adds so much pleasure to my commute! I don't know anyone that will talk Dark Tower with me. Listening to this makes me feel like I'm in the perfect book club. They even do a weekly discussion question so you can interact with other listeners. Very funny and interesting!

THE katet...these are my PEOPLE!

I found myself listening for hours, and then the next day, and the day after that. Book by book, this is the most in depth King podcast and honorable, true tribute to his work. I can't give this enough stars. If you are as hooked on The Tower as me, and especially if you have made many journeys, this is the comprehensive review and exploration of all his worlds.

Great in-depth analysis

After finishing the Dark Tower audiobooks again, I found this podcast. I love their in-depth conversations about the books, and their tangents are pretty good too.

Old and New Friends

I've read the Dark Tower series several times now in my life (fun fact: I refuse to read the last couple pages of Book VII until after my favorite author has reached the clearing at the end of the path so I'll probably have to skip the last episode) but listening to this podcast by Scott and Matt is like taking a long trip with both old and new friends. Not only do they do a deep dive into the material but they also engage with the audience, connect the dots to other works *cough LotR cough*, and do so with humor and laughter that radiates long days and pleasant nights! Highly recommended!!!

LOVE this podcast

This podcast has given me a deeper comprehension and appreciation for a series that I already loved dearly. I never knew listening to two guys nerd out over my favorite book series would bring me so much joy, but it does and I highly recommend this podcast to all tower junkies!

He who speaks without an attentive ear is mute.

In a word, delicious. Not only do these two hosts provide amazing content through Kingslingers and multiple other shows, the interaction with listeners is top notch. They really do the journey with you.
I found this podcast while on my 6th journey to the Tower and so many things were uncovered still. I learned more about literature and this series than I ever would have gleaned on my own. I'm on my 7th turn of the wheel and my 2nd re-listen of this podcast, which is as enjoyable as doing the book series again. We've all come so far since '19 and this quarantine ka-tet has gotten a lot of us through some weird times.
If you enjoy this show, don't hesitate to explore the rest of Doof Media. I've read books and watched movies solely to listen to Book Club and Doof Cast episodes. and Matt, I even watched Buffy during the Salem's Lot read through. You're missing out on some foundational television for sure without Buffy.
love you guys! Please don't burn any King books from the reading list!
