Historia
Years ago, Tabitha Brown started a 30-day personal challenge that she called “I Did a New Thing!” The challenge was simple. Every day she would do something she’d never done before. Sometimes it was something small like trying a new food. Other times, she’d step it up a bit and speak to someone she’d never spoken to before. Still other times, she’d do the hard thing—facing a fear that she had, like having that tough conversation with a friend. No matter what it was, the point was that she was going to take a leap of faith and watch God open up a new lane for her.

Despite gold medals, WNBA championships, and a list of accolades, A’ja Wilson knows how it feels to be swept under the rug—to not be heard, to not feel seen, to not be taken seriously. As a fourth grader going to a primarily white school in South Carolina, A’ja was told she’d have to stay outside for a classmate’s birthday party. Wilson tells stories like this, about how even when life tried to hold her down, it didn’t stop her. She shares her contribution to “The Talk,” and how to keep fighting, all while igniting strength, passion, and joy.

If it weren’t for Emma Johnson, Caryn Johnson would have never become Whoopi Goldberg. Emma gave her children the loving care and wisdom they needed to succeed in life, always encouraging them to be true to themselves. Emma raised her children not just to survive, but to thrive. In this intimate and heartfelt memoir, Whoopi shares many of the deeply personal stories of their lives together for the first time.

Through personal experience and countless conversations, speaker and Bible teacher Jennie Allen has come to realize that most of us need to unlearn some deeply damaging messages about our emotions. We've been taught, for example, that emotions are untrustworthy when, in fact, they are a gift from God to help us notice what is wrong and where we need to heal. Your emotions are not something to suppress or ignore. They are meant to be felt, examined, and shared.

But as she ticked off mile after mile in the brutal conditions, passing familiar landmarks on the course she knew and loved, something shifted. Opportunity unexpectedly presented itself. Des tapped into her inner strength and found a reason to race.

Resumen del Editor
Read by the author.
What fears are standing in your way or holding you back? How do you want to become stronger? Olympic and World champion hurdler Sydney McLaughlin wants to help you answer these questions as she shares her personal story of struggles and victories, of faith and transformation.
Sydney McLaughlin knows about facing down obstacles. She has mastered not only racing over hurdles on the track but also tackling challenges in her personal life—from lifelong battles with perfectionism and anxiety to persistent questions about her identity and whether she was "enough."
Her pursuit of perfection and people-pleasing continued for years until God broke into her story with his overwhelming grace, transforming love, and empowering truth.
In Far Beyond Gold, Sydney will share aspects of her life story and personhood she has never shared publicly before, offering a more complex picture of who she is. She will inspire you to:
- Conquer your fears in Christ's strength
- Stand strong in your identity in him
- Push past your perceived limits
- Overcome the challenges you're facing
Experience the story of a woman who shifted from anxiety to boldness, from limits to freedom, and from perfectionism to purpose—and now shows the world that often what we think is impossible is possible with God.

These deeply-ingrained habits lead them to make mistakes. The problem is that these situations won't often arise at the table by chance - you have to make them happen. Exploitative Play in Live Poker is a ground-breaking work that teaches you how to create the circumstances where your opponents will be likely to blunder and how to exploit them when they do.

Genuine vulnerability
What a great insight into the mind of what should be considered one of the greatest track and field athletes of all time!

A MUST READ!!
Loved this book so much! It grew me in my faith in God, challenged me as an athlete and made me take a look in the mirror at my own life and how I could better serve Jesus and be a reflection of Him. Sydney did a phenomenal job with this book! I know it’s going to change so many lives and point them to Jesus!!

Overcoming fears and feelings of inadequacy
Within the first minute of listening I was in tears. I knew this was the book God meant for me as .I immediately related to Sydney. Everything she battled. I battled…fear of failure, feeling inadequate, unsure of my abilities, and worried about what others thought of me. Learning that my identity is in God, He gives grace to those who trust HiM, and He has helped me overcome my anxiety by trusting Him and the plans He has for me. Thank you Sydney- God Bless!

Sydney convictions
I like how she supported statements with scripture and her determination to not allow her testimony to spoil by living with her fiance soon to be husband..so he moved out until they were married.

Great Story
I’ve admired Sydney from afar and it has been wonderful to have a sneak peek into her background and story. Very inspiring and great reminders on who we should place our identity in. Not in the things of this broken, misguided and sin sick world but of those things above. Thanks for sharing your journey.

Candor and true humility.
Hearing much of the background in how God made himself real in the author’s life was so encouraging. Even before I finished the book, the Lord placed my niece in Magnolia, Arkansas on my heart to send her this book. My prayer is that she too will be inspired toward greatness for the glory of Jesus!

Sydney came across very real. Her honesty and her heart came out in telling her story, which I admire.
I loved everything about this book. Sydney really opened up Her whole life for everyone to know. That takes a lot of courage.

Amazing story about finding purpose in life!
Highly recommend this book for younger people trying to find themselves in life. When you find yourself in God, you find purpose, even if you are a world class athlete like the book depicts. You have to go through the highs and lows to navigate your calling in life. I completely enjoyed the book, especially listening to it with my young track loving son.
